Nitzan Goldberger

Nitzan Goldberger is ESA’s State Policy Director. In that capacity, Nitzan drives and designs storage policy through regulatory and legislative advocacy at the state level. Before joining ESA, Nitzan served as Borrego Solar’s Director of Policy & Business Development for California, where she advised and shaped Borrego Solar’s unique business strategies and product offerings in California. Prior to Borrego, Nitzan worked as a renewable energy policy expert for Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E)—one of the largest investor owned utilities in the US-- where she developed renewable energy policy strategy on RPS implementation, compliance, and legislation impacting PG&E's energy procurement. Nitzan’s experience in energy policy and strategy spans beyond renewable energy and the power sector. She spent nearly three years as an associate with the Eurasia Group where she advised corporate, financial, and government clients on US federal and state-level natural gas, oil and electric sector policies. Nitzan earned her MS in foreign service from Georgetown University and her BA in political science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Lior Handelsman

Founder/Vice President, Marketing and Product Strategy

Mr. Lior Handelsman founded SolarEdge in 2006 and currently serves as our Vice President, Marketing and Product Strategy where he is responsible for SolarEdge’s marketing activities, product management and business development. Prior to co-founding SolarEdge, Mr. Handelsman spent 11 years at the Electronics Research Department (‘‘ERD’’), one of Israel’s national labs, which is tasked with developing innovative and complex systems. At the ERD he held several positions including research and development power electronics engineer, head of the ERD’s power electronics group and manager of several large-scale development projects and he was a branch head in his last position at the ERD.
Mr. Handelsman holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) and an MBA from the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology in Haifa.

Lon Huber leads Navigant’s North American retail regulatory offering. In this capacity, Lon provides expert witness testimony, proceeding strategy, and policy solutions on behalf of clients across the energy sector landscape. Lon has received awards and is well known for his creative data-driven solutions to some of the energy industry’s most pressing issues. Specifically, Lon pushes advances in rate design, RPS modernization, energy storage, DER compensation & ownership, and community solar. He is frequently cited in trade press and speaks regularly at conferences across the country. With over 10 years in the energy industry, his experience spans public and private sectors, as well as academia.

Lon holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy and Management as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona.

Ravi Manghani is the Director of Energy Storage at GTM Research, where he focuses on global energy storage markets and value chain analysis. As an industry expert, Ravi has been quoted in various publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Forbes, The Christian Science Monitor, Wired, Bloomberg and The Verge.

Ravi has over 9 years of experience in energy storage as a consultant, analyst and engineer. He holds a master’s degree in international business from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, an M.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Washington, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai, India.
