Annie joined The Arc and UCP’s Disability Policy Collaboration in 2007 as the Director of Communications and Grassroots Advocacy. Prior to that, she served as the Program Director for the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS) and as a government project officer for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), working in primarily in the areas of program evaluation and distance education. In May of 2011, Annie joined The Arc’s staff as a policy advocate and covers budget and appropriations, education, Developmental Disabilities Act programs, autism, technology, prevention, and family support issues in Congress. She serves as a Co-Chair of the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) Fiscal Policy Task Force, the Developmental Disabilities, Autism, and Family Support Task Force and the Board of Directors of Quality Trust. She works at The Arc because she believes that good public policy is the cornerstone for equal opportunity.
