Micronic - Standardization in Tissue Banking

Monday, February 5
7:24 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: Room 8

Currently, sample collection, handling and storage procedures in a fluid-based biobank can be easily standardized and automated. For the collection, handling and storage of fresh frozen tissue samples however, the process gets a bit more complicated. There is little agreement on best practices or procedures for tissue biobanking, and a diversity of storage products are available. Micronic anticipates on this need by launching the unique 1.00ml Tissue Storage Tube. This 2D coded tube has a wide and shallow design for easy loading and removal of tissue samples (biopsy) and is available in an automation compatible ANSI/SLAS standard rack format, enabling efficiency and standardization in tissue biobanking.
