Melanie V. Leveridge
Head of Screening, Profiling and Mechanistic Biology, UK
I am a third year undergraduate student in the penultimate year of a BSc Molecular Biology degree at University College London. Currently, I am undertaking a year-long placement at GlaxoSmithKline, based in Stevenage, UK. I am involved in assay development and small molecule screening under the department Screening, Profiling and Mechanistic Biology. My project this year, collaborating with TTP Labtech and Almac, is investigating the use of FLT (fluorescence lifetime) as a new fluorescence-based technology for compound screening in early drug discovery.
