As an automation engineering with fifteen years of industry experience, Jason Matzen has worked with HTS automation systems his entire career. Starting as a quality control specialist at Aurora Biosciences he learned the landscape of the biotech industry. He transferred to the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation (GNF) in early 2002 to run their HTS system. Jason has worked on a variety of screening projects including reporter, target, and phenotypic screens. He has since transitioned to oversee the screening operations at GNF and work with GNF’s engineering group to develop new instrumentation.
