CHARACTERIZATION OF PURION® PROCESSED PLACENTA BASED ALLOGRAFTS (PBAs)

Ms. Masse will present fundamental differences in tissue processing. She will review the peer-reviewed, published scientific data on the characterization of multiple PURION processed PBAs including the following specific tissue types: amnion, chorion, umbilical cord, and placenta.

COMPELLING LEVEL I EVIDENCE FOR THE USE OF PBAs
William Tettelbach, MD
Dr. Tettelbach will review the peer-reviewed, published clinical data on PBAs for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers. He will discuss the results of multiple prospective, randomized, controlled, multicenter studies including the most recently published diabetic foot ulcer randomized control trial. In addition, he will review a landmark comparative effectiveness study reporting dehydrated human amnion/chorion membrane allograft is superior to both bioengineered skin substitute and standard care in healing of DFUs at 4, 6, and 12-week time points.

Dr. Stavosky will present clinical case examples incorporating PURION processed PBAs into acute and chronic wound treatments in wound care clinics and surgical limb salvage programs.
