The Tabular modeling concepts in Analysis Services and Power BI are tremendously powerful, but to become really successful you’ll need to understand the fundamental differences between these technologies and SQL-based environments. The secret to unleash all the power of Power BI is to thoroughly understand the concept of context. In this session, we will introduce you to the different forms of context within a Power BI or Analysis Services Tabular model, and how to work with these to understand and create advanced DAX calculations.

The secret to unleash the power of Power BI is to thoroughly understand the concept of context. In this session, we’ll introduce you to the different contexts within a Power BI model, and how to work with these to create advanced DAX calculations.
