This session describes how Project ExCEL, a Jacob K. Javits project, redesigned its professional development for in-service teachers by shifting from teaching Problem-Based Learning through PBL student content to engaging teachers in a problem of instructional practice. Presenters share the process, considerations, and rationale for the redesign as well as teacher reflections on this model for professional learning.
