This session integrates theory and research on perfectionism and how it may lead to depression, anxiety, and other health issues. Research into perfectionism indicates its maladaptive factors to attaining positive outcomes. School personnel and parents need to be cognizant of risk factors and the perils of perfectionism to provide opportunities to foster resilience and emotional self-control in students.
