Can we un-ring the metaphorical bell of ability testing? Despite pivotal research on the spectrum of gifted attributes, traditional methods of identification persist in manifesting underrepresentation. Participants are introduced to how Project ExCEL, a Jacob K. Javits project, is innovating identification by expanding teacher professional judgment to value and include attributes of giftedness demonstrated through dynamic measures.
