Hilary E. Kahn, PhD

Hilary E. Kahn is the assistant dean of international education and global initiatives at the School of Global and International Studies and the director of the Center for the Study of Global Change at Indiana University. She is also the director of the PhD minor in global studies and faculty in International Studies. She leads the Framing the Global Research and Publication Project and the Indiana Language Roadmap initiative and coordinates professional development workshops and consults on curriculum and comprehensive internationalization at IU and elsewhere. In addition to international education, her areas of expertise include visual ethnography, global learning, human rights and the arts, Latin America, and the politics of representing culture. Hilary has a doctorate in anthropology from University of Buffalo and she is currently president of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA).
