Dyane Koreman is Head of the International Event, Music and Entertainment CE team at the Fontys Academy for Creative Industries, the Netherlands. She graduated from Tilburg University with a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, having spent half a year abroad in Australia on an exchange programme. Dyane is an international higher education professional with more than 15 years of experience as head of an international office, responsible for strategic policy development, international relations, international programme management (eg double degrees), student and staff mobility, admission, marketing and recruitment and guidance of international students. She has a passion for coaching, training and teambuilding, and has been a (lead) trainer for workshops in the fields of managing the education abroad office and intercultural communication at many conferences.

Rob Maat is Senior Advisor Internationalisation and Director of the International Office at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. His day to day work consists of institutional policy development, programme advising, international relations, student mobility and managing the International Office. He completed a Double Degree (Master) in Regional Economical Sciences at Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands and Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Germany. Rob is a higher educational professional since 2006 and has held positions as a lecturer, coordinator, manager and adviser at Maastricht University and Fontys University of Applied Sciences. Rob also worked several years for the Royal Dutch Consulate General in Düsseldorf, Germany as an international trade officer. He has experience in International Student Recruitment, International Relations, International Strategy Development and Student and Staff Mobility. As a binational Rob is able to switch easily from his structured German routine to conceptual Dutch out-of-the-box thinking.

Kim Howard, M.Ed.

University of Vermont Office of International Education

Kim Howard has served as the director of the University of Vermont Office of International Education, an inbound/outbound office, since 2008. During her tenure, the office has implemented data management and work flow technology systems for both study abroad and international student/scholar services; doubled its international student population; brought in-house H-1B and permanent residency filings; and undertaken an institution-wide initiative to dramatically expand student mobility through bilateral exchange programs. Kim oversees the institutional coordination of policies and best practices for health and safety of students studying abroad.

Alisa Lopez is Executive Director of Full-Time Recruitment for the Graziadio School at Pepperdine University in California and holds a Masters in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. She has directed student exchange, faculty-lead study abroad programs and international relations for over fifteen years. She currently directs domestic and international new student recruitment. She also serves as a member of the NAFSA Trainer Corps teaching education abroad workshops. She has delivered numerous training programs at NAFSA as well as student and faculty training, presentations and orientations.
