Dr. Chunfu Liu is a senior epidemiologist and currently the DHHS’s Chief Epidemiologist with more than 2 decades of experience in public health. He has worked in various private and public sectors throughout his career and leads a team of researchers, epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and research analysts to support public health functions. He has published articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals and presented papers in many professional conferences. His work mostly focuses on using data to support public health functions and programs in various ways, including addressing health disparity and equity. He received doctor of science degree in Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts, and has graduate training in public health and health care administration.
