Stacey J. Winham, PhD was an NIH Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health Scholar from 2013 to 2015, and is currently the recipient of the Walter and Evelyn Simmers Career Development Award for Ovarian Cancer Research. She is interested in the genetic factors underlying sex-specific effects, and particularly the role of the X chromosome. She develops statistical methods with applications in psychiatric genetics, and breast and ovarian cancer.
Dr. Winham is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Health Sciences Research. She received her PhD in statistics and statistical genetics from North Carolina State University in 2011. She came to Mayo Clinic in 2011, and is currently a Senior Associate Consultant II in the Division of Biomedical Statistics and Informatics.
