Julie Bauman, MD, MPH, is Professor of Medicine, Chief of Hematology/Oncology, and Associate Director of Translational Research at the University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC). Her career has focused on biomarker-driven, Phase I and II clinical trials to prevent or improve clinical outcomes in head and neck cancer (HNC). In particular, Dr. Bauman conducts early phase trials in green chemoprevention and cancer immunotherapy. She is the Co-Principal Investigator of the UACC Cancer Prevention Agent Development Program, funded by the U.S. National Cancer Institute, where she studies the chemopreventive potential of broccoli seed preparations. She is the Principal Investigator of NRG Oncology HN003, a phase I trial evaluating the addition of anti-PD1 immunotherapy to adjuvant cisplatin-radiation in high risk HPV-negative HNC.
