Dr. Kurtin is a Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing at The University of Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson. She has 33 years of oncology experience. She maintains a busy clinical practice with expertise in hematological malignancies, clinical trials, symptom management, supportive care, caregiver support, and health informatics. She will defend her PhD dissertation at the University of Arizona in the Fall of 2018. Ms Kurtin is a founding board member for APSHO, and an active member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Oncology Nursing Society. Ms. Kurtin serves on a number of patient advocay boards, professional working groups, and editorial boards for peer-reviewed publications relevant to oncology and supportive care. She is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and lectures nationally and internationally.
