Dr. Harvey is Director, Phase I Clinical Trials Section, Winship Cancer Institute and an Associate Professor in Hematology/Medical Oncology and Pharmacology at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Harvey received his Pharmacy degrees from the University of North Carolina (UNC). He completed reisdency training at the University of Kentucky and Hematology/Oncology specialty training at UNC. Dr. Harvey is a former President of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association and has over 75 peer-reviewed publications in hematology/oncology and clinical pharmacology. He is active in the American Society of Clinical Oncology (Cancer Research Committee), the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and the American Society of Hematology. His research focuses on applying clinical pharmacology principles for improved cancer treatment outcomes.

I am a gastrointestinal oncologist and health services researcher at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. I completed medicine residency at Duke University and oncology fellowship at Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center. My research focuses on optimizing the care delivered to patients with cancer. Specifically, my research platform consists of studies interfacing between palliative care, geriatric oncology, and health services research. My goal is to improve the quality of life and care for patients with cancer and their family. I am interested in developing models of healthcare delivery to improve patients’ quality of life, address their symptom burden, and promote patient-centered decision-making.

Wendy H. Vogel, MSN, FNP, AOCNP, is an oncology nurse practitioner at Wellmont Cancer Institute in Kingsport, Tennessee. She received her BS in Nursing at Tennessee Technological University and MS in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at East Tennessee State University. Ms. Vogel is a board-certified advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner and a certified family nurse practitioner.
Ms Vogel has experience in oncology, education, cancer prevention, and public speaking. She is a founding board member of the Advanced Practitioner Society in Hematology and Oncology. Ms. Vogel is an Associate Editor of the Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology and has published in this and in several other journals and newsletters. She received the American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year award for co-editing the Advanced Oncology Nursing Certification Review and Resource Manual: Instructor's Resource. She has lectured at national and international conferences on oncology topics.
