Dr. Adah Sachs, PhD is an attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist and a member of the Bowlby Centre. She also and heads the NHS Psychotherapy Service for Redbridge borough, London, UK.
Sachs’s main theoretical contribution is outlining sub-categories of disorganized attachment and linking them with specific qualities of childhood trauma, and with trauma-based mental disorders, including two presentations of DID.
Adah lectures and supervises worldwide on attachment and dissociation, and serves as an expert witness to the court on DID. She has published numerous journal papers, book chapters, a co-edited book- Forensic Aspects of Dissociative Identity Disorder (2008) and a co-edited a special issue of the JTD, The Abused and the Abuser: Victim-Perpetrator Dynamics (2017). She is a fellow of the ISSTD.
