Doctoral candidate/Psychotherapist

I’m a trauma psychotherapist; I have worked with victims of sexual abuse, dating/domestic violence and child maltreatment. I have been interested in trauma psychotherapy since I was an undergraduate, particularly in crime victimization and social discrimination rather than natural disaster. After a successful completion of M.A degree and training at Ewha Womans University, I decided to enter clinical practice course to further explore specific research themes of my interest. Experience from crisis intervention to trauma psychotherapy at Sunflower center (Korean national institution for the victims of sexual violence, domestic violence and child maltreatment), taught me that scientific basis of trauma is fully needed in practical field. Now, I came back to school and became a doctoral candidate for studying specifically in my area(Institutional betrayal and trauma, violence), and still work with crime victims.
