Dr. Vedantham, Professor of Radiology & Surgery and Assistant Dean for Clinical Research at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, is an experienced Interventional Radiologist who specializes in the delivery and clinical investigation of image-guided therapies for venous thromboembolism (VTE). Dr. Vedantham serves as National Principal Investigator of the NHLBI-sponsored ATTRACT and C-TRACT Trials, which are rigorously evaluating the role of endovascular interventions in patients with DVT. Dr. Vedantham is also currently the President of the Society of Interventional Radiology. He is recognized as a highly collaborative leader of multidisciplinary endeavors aimed at improving the care of venous thrombosis, and has served on the executive boards of multiple organizations in this space.
