Shaun L. Samuels, MD, FSIR has been a Course Director for ISET/CIO for a decade, and he brings his own brand of creativity and originality to CIO, which he founded 10 years ago. He has been a leader in the world of interventional radiology, presenting all over the world, with particular interest in PAD, EVAR, and venous disease, in addition to Interventional Oncology. He has published several papers on these topics, authored book chapters, and been an invited lecturer and speaker at leading meetings including SIR, AIM, GEST, TCT, Synergy and WCIO. At SIR, he is well known for leading several plenary sessions in his entertaining and probing style. Currently an interventional radiologist at Aventura Hospital in South Florida, he is also Chief Medical Officer for EndoVention, a startup medical device company based on technology he invented and developed.

Raghu Kolluri

System Medical Director, Vascular Medicine
OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital

Dr. Raghu Kolluri is currently the System Medical Director of Vascular Medicine at the Riverside Methodist Hospital/ OhioHealth System, where he is responsible for the non-invasive vascular medicine service line across 10 hospitals. He is also the Medical Director of 12 vascular labs across the OhioHealth System. His newest role is as the Medical Director of OhioHealth's vascular core lab. He currently serves on various advisory boards and committees.

After graduating from Armed Forces Medical College, India, Dr. Kolluri completed Internal Medicine Residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital, in Columbus Ohio followed by a Vascular Medicine fellowship training at The Cleveland Clinic. He then went on to develop and regionalize a non-invasive vascular medicine service line and vascular labs at HSHS system/ Prairie Cardiovascular consultants, IL. He also developed and served as the Director of SynvaCor, the core wound lab for several multinational CLI Trials, before moving back to Columbus.

He has been an invited speaker at several vascular and wound conferences. His clinical and research interests include non-invasive testing, CLI and chronic venous disease. He has published several peer reviewed articles and book chapters in the field of Vascular Medicine.

E. Brooke Spencer

Dr Elizabeth “Brooke” Spencer is an interventional radiologist, and serves as the Medical Director and CEO of Minimally Invasive Procedure Specialists in South Denver, Colorado. Dr Spencer is Chairman of Interventional Radiology at Littleton Adventist Hospital. She has recently founded Minimally Invasive Procedure Specialists, an independent Interventional Radiology practice.

Dr Spencer completed her medical degree at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, then went on to do a general surgery internship at the University of North Carolina Hospital, and residency in diagnostic radiology at the Duke University Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in interventional radiology at Barnes Jewish Medical Center, Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St Louis.

Dr Spencer treats a large number of patients with chronic DVT and PTS and performs all IR procedures. Her other main focuses outside of thromboembolic treatments include, pelvic venous congestion and uterine fibroids and she has a fairly large renal cryoablation and Y90 practice as well. Dr Spencer has been involved in several research programs over the years, has multiple publications and is a dedicated educator, speaking at society meetings across the country.

Scott Trerotola

Scott O. Trerotola, MD, FACR, FSIR, is the Stanley Baum professor of radiology and professor of radiology in surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, where he is also Associate Chair and Chief of Interventional Radiology as well as Vice Chair for Quality and Safety.
Dr. Trerotola pursues research in hemodialysis and venous access, IVC filters and PAVM embolotherapy, among other topics. He holds eight patents on devices for interventional procedures. He has developed multiple techniques in widespread use in IR including balloon-assisted placement of large bore gastrostomy, ultra-high pressure angioplasty, forceps removal of inferior vena caval filters, and backbleeding treatment for arterial emboli during dialysis declotting to name but a few.
Dr. Trerotola is a strong advocate of research in IR and evidence-based practice; among his more than 250 research and educational publications are multiple prospective randomized trials.
Dr Trerotola has received tremendous recognition for his achievements, including awards for teaching, distinction in reviewing and for patient advocacy. He regularly appears on Best Doctors in America and Best Doctors in Philadelphia lists. In 2010, he received the Louis Duhring Outstanding Clinical Specialist Award from his institution, reflecting peer recognition of the strong clinical thrust now ingrained in IR. In 2015, he received the Alfred Stengel Health System Champion Award from his institution for his efforts in system-wide coordination of patient quality and safety. He has given invited lectures worldwide, and in 2015 he gave the Society of Interventional Radiology’s Dotter lecture.
