Barry T. Katzen is the founder and chief medical executive of the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, which has served as a national model of success in multidisciplinary cooperation. He is clinical professor of radiology and surgery, Associate Dean Clinical Affairs Baptist Health, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University; as well as at University of Miami, School of Medicine and University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine.

Dr. Katzen graduated from the University of Miami, School of Medicine in 1970, completed his internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, residency at the New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, and a fellowship in cardiovascular radiology at St. Vincent’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Rome.

Dr. Katzen is one of the pioneers of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, peripheral thrombolysis for less invasive treatment of vascular disease and was part of the investigative team that lead to the approval of the first intravascular stent. He performed the first renal angioplasty in the United States and is considered one of the founders of interventional radiology as a specialty of medicine. He is credited with being the first to use “live patient demonstrations” in the USA, which became the benchmark for procedural education in endovascular.

Among his awards, Dr. Katzen received the Society of Interventional Radiology's (SIR) Gold Medal; the Annual Gold Medal award from the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE); and the Career Achievement Award from Trans-Catheter Therapeutics (TCT).

Fabrizio Fanelli is a professor of radiology and director of the vascular and interventional radiology department at “Careggi” University Hospital in Florence-Italy.
He graduated with honors from “Sapienza” University of Rome Medical School, where he completed his residency in radiology and imaging sciences.
Involved in several experimental studies for the evaluation of new materials and devices in clinical practice.
Author and co-author of 110 papers in peer-reviewed journals concerning the radiological, surgical and clinical fields. Author of three books and co-author of sixteen books. Over than 500 oral presentations in international congresses.
Prof. Fanelli has taught more than 85 interventional radiology training courses and has organized several congresses, seminars, and courses.
Deeply involved in the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe-CIRSE as a member of the Executive Committee and chairman of the CIRSE programme committee (2018-2019). He act also as programme committee member of IDEAS-Interdisciplinary Endovascular Aortic Symposium, GEST Europe-Global Embolization Symposium and Technologies and ECIO-European Conference on Interventional Oncology.
In 2012 elected treasure of the UEMS-European Union of Medical specialty, Interventional Radiology division.
Since 2008 Fellow of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe - CIRSE.
Member of the “EBIR Council” (European Board of Interventional Radiology).
Since 2010 member of the editorial board of “Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology”-Springer.
Associate Editor of CVIR Endovascular.
Section Editor of EURORAD - Vascular and Interventional Radiology – ESR European Society of Radiology.

Dr. Thomas Zeller is an Associate Professor in the Angiology Division of the Universitaets-Herzzentrum Freiburg ∙ Bad Krozingen, Germany. He performs interventional angiology with more than 20 years of experience in this field. His main research interest is diagnostic and therapy of renal artery stenosis, optimization of endovascular therapy methods of peripheral arterial occlusive disease and optimization of non invasive diagnostic methods in vascular medicine. He has performed a series of studies in these areas and has conducted numerous clinical trials. Furthermore he is editorial board member of various scientific journals, e.g. VASA, EUROIntervention, Vascular Medicine, Catheterization Cardiovascular Interventions, Journal of Endovascular Therapy, gefaessmedizin.net. He is the author of more than 200 peer reviewed original and review articles, editor of the textbook Vascular Medicine – Therapy and Practice as well as reviewer for European Heart Journal, Journal of American College of Cardiology and sub-journals, Circulation and sub-journals, The Lancet and others.

Maureen P. Kohi, MD, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology in the Vascular and Interventional Radiology division of the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Kohi received her medical degree from New York Medical College with honors and completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency at UCSF. While a resident, Dr. Kohi completed a one-year research fellowship as the recipient of the NIH/NIBIB T32 Training Grant (2008-2009). Following her residency, Dr. Kohi completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at UCSF, followed by a second fellowship in Women's Imaging at UCSF. She then joined the faculty in the Vascular and Interventional Radiology division at UCSF.

Dr. Kohi's primary research interest is in the field of women's health and interventions. Her research focuses on evaluating different minimally invasive treatment options for symptomatic uterine fibroids, optimizing the management of patients presenting with invasive placenta, and evaluating gender differences in vascular and oncologic diseases. Her clinical research and interests also include interventional oncology, hepatobiliary disease interventions, and inferior vena cava filters.

Dr. Mustapha is a board-certified interventional cardiologist.  He specializes in minimally invasive, non-surgical therapy for heart and peripheral vascular disease, specifically critical limb ischemi.  Dr. Mustapha graduated from Wayne State University and St. George University School of Medicine.  He has completed Fellowships in both Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Louisiana State University School of Medicine.  Dr. Mustapha’s is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. He serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Mustapha is currently in practice at Metro Health - University of Michigan Health in Wyoming, Michigan, where he is Director of Cardiovascular Research.  Dr. Mustapha speaks internationally on the topics of below the knee disease, critical limb ischemia, alternative access, atherectomy, vessel morphology, calcification and drug eluting technology. Dr. Mustapha is the Founder and Director of the AMPutation Prevention Symposium (AMP).  He has multiple publications, including those on critical limb ischemia and amputation prevention.
