Dr. Clair Short Bio:

Daniel G. Clair is currently the Chairman of the Department of Surgery for the Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group in Columbia, SC. He completed a general and vascular surgical training program at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and subsequently served four years as a vascular surgeon at Andrews Air Force base in Maryland, completing his service as the chief of the vascular surgery section. He has served in roles as the chair of vascular surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center from 2002-2004 and was the chair of vascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic from 2006 to 2016. Dan has had extensive experience in endovascular and open vascular surgical techniques for dealing with complex aortic and lower extremity occlusive disease. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and holds four U.S. patents.
