Brittany Dahlen, BAN, RN, CCRN, CPHON, CPN, is a clinical education specialist at Children's Minnesota. She focuses on utilizing simulation based mastery learning (SBML) and other educational modalities for preventable harm reduction. Her most recent work includes central line maintenance education with SBML for pediatric ICU and hematology/oncology nurses, development of a neonatal nurse practitioner orientation boot camp utilizing SBML, and pressure injury prevention education for pediatric nurses.

Lisa Mayer, RN is a simulation educator for the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Riley Hospital for Children of Indiana University Health. She coordinates simulation curriculum for pediatric residents and neonatology fellows. Additionally, Lisa serves as an outreach educator taking simulated medical sessions to community hospitals throughout the state of Indiana. She is also Associate Director of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program for the Division of Neonatology.

Melanie A. Weller, M.D. is a 3rd year fellow in the Pediatric Emergency Medicine program at Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters, Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Previously she completed medical school at Ross University School of Medicine then Pediatric Residency and Chief Residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Her research interests include simulation along with resident education, which was the focus of her fellowship project. Other projects have included pediatric resident simulation training for primary survey evaluation in pediatric traumas.
