Kiran Hebbar, MD, FCCM is a pediatric intensivist, Associate professor and the Medical Director of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Simulation Center. He recently completed his quality scholars certifcation from the The James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence. His center and work focus around system integration approach to simulation based solutions for quality and patient safety measures, shifting bedside practice to improve patient outcomes and in applying simulation testing to inform hospital processes and hospital design. His team uses rapid cycle deliberate practice methodology for a number of training activities such as medication safety, eCPR and rapid response response training.

Dr Elke Reunis was born in Roosendaal, Netherland. As a child, her family moved around the world, having lived in Poland, Indonesia, Italy and Belgium. In 2009, she settled down in the UK, where she completed an intercalated Bachelor degree in Neuroscience in 2012 and a Medical Degree in 2015, both at University College London.

She has since been working as a junior doctor in Birmingham and will soon commence Paediatric training in the West Midlands. She is currently undertaking a long-distance postgraduate certificate in Medical education at the University of Dundee.

Elke has a longstanding passion for medical education, particularly simulation-based education, professional identity development and student/trainee motivation.

Over the last year she has become heavily involved in the running of and development of multiple simulation programs at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust. This includes the ‘Debriefing the Debriefer’ initiative which she is thrilled to share with you all at IPSSW 2018.

David Rodgers is the manager of the Clinical Simulation Center at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He earned his doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Marshall University. Clinically, he is a national registered paramedic with over 30 years’ experience. Dr. Rodgers has a wide range of simulation experience. He was the founding director of a large teaching-hospital simulation center, helped expand the capabilities of an established pediatric simulation center, and operated his own simulation education consulting company.

One the uniquire quality of our program is we provide multidisiciplinary simulation once weekely for upto 10 months in a year. As an educator I have been interested in exploring the supplemental method of debriefing to enhance the learning experience of our learners.
