This new opportunity is open to full conference and expo hall only passes and will provide you a certificate for two Professional Development Hour credits. The track is designed especially for contractors, sub-contractors and installers.

Dan Salsinger is a sales representative for Hanes Companies, a supplier of textiles, erosion and sediment control and bio-engineering products in the Midwest. He is hands on in the field, enjoys solving problems and bringing value to the project. Before joining Hanes Salsinger was a dirt work estimator for a midwestern dirt work contractor.

Richard Dunbar is the Erosion Control General Manager for Oakridge Landscape, Inc. and started the Erosion Control Division over ten years ago. In doing so, he is focused on improving awareness within the industry regarding the importance of managing stormwater. Richard is currently completing his CISEC certification and will soon become a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) in the State of California. In addition to his new duties as a Board member of the Western Chapter of IECA, he also sits on the Board for the Building Industry Association-LAV Chapter. And as if that isn’t enough, Richard is the Lead Person for the Mountain Security portion of Ski Patrol at Big Bear Mountain Resorts.
Prior to starting the Erosion Control Division of Oakridge Landscape, Richard’s experience included two years at Valley Crest, and four years at Landscape Development, Inc. With over 35 years of experience in the Construction Industry, Richard brings vast knowledge and experience to the Western Chapter as a Board member.
Mr. Dunbar’s accomplishments include the development of the Erosion Control Division of Oakridge Landscape, covering Southern California from Santa Maria to Los Angeles and into the Inland Empire. Richard has created strong relations with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, as well as working closely with the County Agricultural Commissioner/Weights and Measures.
Richard is responsible for the hiring, training and supervision of his entire workforce working in multiple field offices throughout Southern California.
He is also a Volunteer Ski Patroller for Big Bear Mountain Resorts. As part of the Ski Patrol Richard works on the weekends to help injured guests and to make sure those that come to the Big Bear Ski Resorts have the opportunity to ski safe. Richard also enjoys mountain biking and boating in Big Bear, where he lives.

Ron Dietz was a founding partner of Environmental Seeding Co. in May of 1979, which became Dietz Hydroseeding Co. in 1984. Dietz Hydroseeding has its principal office in Sylmar, CA with a satellite office in Orange, CA. Mr. Dietz also offers consulting for landscape and native plant design as well as verification and inspection protocols though his company, Spec Check in Orange, CA. Mr. Dietz has well established relationships with many prominent architects, government agencies, contractors and developers.
Mr. Dietz is a member of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) and is a Director of the Western Chapter of the IECA.
Mr. Dietz is a Director of Golden Oak Co-op Corporation in Chatsworth, CA, a position he has held since 1986. Golden Oak is a member-owned insurance brokerage and insurance finance company that provides business insurance programs for the landscape industry.
Mr. Dietz is a life member of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA). He was the CLCA San Fernando Valley Chapter President in 1984 and was CLCA State President in 1989.
Mr. Dietz was also a founding member of the Green Industry Council in 1989.
