Erosion and Sediment Control
Western Region - Technical Paper
Level of Presentation: Intermediate
This paper explores the operation of erosion control facilities at a mountain recreation camp for the five winter seasons since the initial construction. The winter season typically includes rainfall runoff and snowmelt events that generate runoff and facilitate erosion of roads and trails in camp. Observations were made during a heavy rain in late October 2016 that yielded several important conclusions about the operation of the erosion control facilities and development of new or modified facilities.
