Erosion and Sediment Control
Level of Presentation: All: Suitable for a broad audience
Is steep slope stabilization against erosion and sedimentation your challenge?
Overcoming the challenge of erosion on steep slopes, which are characteristic of surface mining sites, is often difficult. This will demonstrate how low-cost biodegradable erosion control mats can help overcome the challenge to ensure effective re-vegetation and successful reclamation that will promote early bond release.
Participants will also discover and recognize the advantages of installing the low-cost mats, especially in terms of dollar savings, compared to the installation of other rolled-erosion control products, in steep slope stabilization and re-vegetation during mine land reclamation.
