Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans are for everyone! You don't have to be an engineer or even a water quality professional to compile an effective & useful SWPPP. In this course, you will learn tips and strategies for creating an educational Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan for municipal facilities using existing resources and staff. We will share techniques, plan templates, and our own successes and failures of creating municipal SWPPPs in Knox County, TN.

Amy is a Project Manager for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program at Knox County Stormwater. Amy oversees the Education/Outreach, Public Participation and Pollution Prevention / Good Housekeeping measures for Knox County's Phase II MS4 permit.
Amy worked on the agricultural side of soil and water management for 6 years at the Knox County Soil Conservation District before moving over to urban stormwater management in 2014. Although she has been in the stormwater field for over a decade, Amy graduated from the University of Oregon in 2002 with a BA in Journalism - Advertising. Amy finds it both challenging and highly satisfying to combine her interests in Marketing and stormwater management through her current position in the water resources field.
