This talk will focus on a project on a coastal stream in Newport Beach California that integrates water quality improvements of dry weather flows, passive treatment of wet weather runoff with wetland creation, flood plain reestablishment with streambed and streambank stabilization, riparian restoration, and enhanced public access. Mr. Weis received his B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2006 and his Master's degree in Business Administration in 2011, from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. With his range of experience and education, Mr. Weis has provided professional engineering services in a variety of fields including land development, railroads, public works infrastructure, water treatment, solid waste, and site remediation. In the Environmental group at Burns & McDonnell, he performs water balance and drainage studies, constructed wetland design, remediation site design, landfill design and permitting, and other environmental services on projects all over the U.S.
