As more homes are weatherized, indoor air quality (IAQ) becomes more of a concern. In this session we will address the essential elements of IAQ, including controlling pollutant sources and reducing pollutants with ventilation (ASHRAE 62.2). Additionally, we will discuss the important topics of combustion sources of pollution and moisture control.

Rick Karg was trained as an economist, was a building contractor for ten years, and is now the president of R.J. Karg Associates and Residential Energy Dynamics, LLC. He has been working with weatherization and home performance programs and electric and gas utilities for thirty years as an educator and consultant. Rick is a member of the ASHRAE 62.2 residential ventilation and Residential Building Committees.
