Real Savings: Results from Existing Multi Family Retrofits

This session will describe the results of multifamily energy retrofit projects completed under the PSEG Residential Multifamily Housing Program. Session will focus on the benefits of following projects from audit, through engineering design, contracting, construction and commissioning and finally through ongoing measurement and verification. Program structure and design will be described and discussed. Case Studies will be presented describing successful energy conservation measures, and sharing real utility data comparing pre and post usage along with lessons learned over eight years of program participation and over 70 projects.

Krista Egger

Enterprise Community Partners

With more than a decade of experience leading energy efficiency initiatives with affordable housing stakeholders, Krista Egger manages Enterprise’s national Green Initiative. Krista is a green affordable housing leader, developing programs, tools, and partnerships across the sector which deliver value through innovative and practical solutions. She led the technical development and public roll-out of the 2015 Enterprise Green Communities Criteria, provides strategic oversight for the Enterprise Green Communities Certification program, leads Enterprise’s Health Action Plan framework which pairs public health professionals with affordable housing development teams, and she manages the development and delivery of a suite of associated trainings, tools, grants, and initiatives.

Emma Raymont

Emma holds a dual B.S. degree in Civil and Architectural Engineering from Drexel University. Emma’s career in the building construction field includes a wide variety of existing and new construction projects, both in the residential and light commercial spheres. Emma designs mechanical systems for high performance buildings, including LEED and ENERGY STAR certified new construction projects. Emma also consults on energy retrofit projects, primarily in existing multifamily buildings. She has had the privilege to really learn from this work as she has begun with energy audits and worked through design, bid, construction, commissioning and post install measurement and verification.
Emma draws her inspiration and passion for building science from a childhood spent growing up in a perpetually half-finished house and from a young adulthood living on the edge of urban redevelopment in Vancouver, Montreal and New York City.

Rachael P. Fredericks

Program Manager Multifamily Program

Over the last 16 years Rachael has worn many hats in energy and energy efficiency industry from, large customer support, business development, lighting design, customer service, software solutions, energy auditing, construction management, program management, program design and implementation. As Program Manager of PSE&G New Jersey 94 million dollar Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program she manages construction projects, project managers, forecasting, planning and oversight of design engineering firms and everything in between. This particular position is exciting for Rachael as it calls on just the right mix of her skills and expertise.
