Conventional, on-site inspections and reviews are costly and can create headaches for contractors, programs, and homeowners. The time and expense to schedule and physically be on-site, not to mention potential loss of homeowner good-will, are just some such challenges. As an alternative to traditional approaches, programs and contractors are testing out new ways to do assessments, training, and quality assurance from afar. Come learn about the Home Energy Score’s recently launched guidelines for remote mentoring and quality assurance, and lessons on what’s working in the field. Hear how a Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program is verifying quality installations through data and other methods. And, find out how equipment sensors are helping target improvements before an expert even enters the home.
