The 2016 American Home Comfort Survey (AHCS) Report presents data from the 2013 and 2016 AHCS studies among nearly 5,000 residential HVAC system purchasers for replacement or add-on purposes. This session explores the demographic details of these purchasers and their perceptions and attitudes about elements of home performance, including energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Participants will gain a better understanding of the sources of information that residential consumers use to make their HVAC purchase decisions and how addressing their customers’ concerns about energy efficiency and indoor air quality can increase the contractor’s bottom line.
