Terri Raymond, MA, RDN, CDN, FAND


Terri has worked in dietetics and business for more then 35 years. Currently she owns and operates a consulting business, employing more then 30 registered dietitians, serving healthcare and business clients in the Pacific Northwest. Previously she worked in contract food service as President for a regional corporation of 750 employees with clients in five western states.
Terri has been active in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for most of her career. She has served as Washington State President, Delegate, and on several national committees including Strategic Planning, Professional Development, and Commission on Dietetic Registration Appeals and Competency Assurance Panels. She has also served as Chair of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation Board. For the past several years Terri has been a member and recently served as the Chair of Dietitians in Business and Communication DPG. Currently Terri is serving as the President-elect of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Judith Gilbride, PhD, RDN, FAND

Dr. Judith Gilbride, recipient of the 2018 Marjorie Hulsizer Copher Award, is a Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies at New York University. She has been an educator and professional role model at New York University for most of her career, teaching dietary managers and doctoral students, and inspiring them make their marks on the profession. She advanced from teaching assistant to lecturer, instructor, assistant, associate and then to full professor at NYU. She has served the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as President, House of Delegates Speaker, Foundation Director-at-Large, and as a member of numerous committees and task forces. Most recently, she became an ACEND program reviewer. For the past 17 years, she has been a Foundation Advisor for the Wimpfheimer‐Guggenheim International programs. Dr. Gilbride also received a Medallion Award in 1997.

Ann L. Albright, PhD, RDN

Dr. Ann Albright assumed the position of Director, Division of Diabetes Translation in January 2007. As director, Dr. Albright leads a team who strive to eliminate the preventable burden of diabetes through leadership, research, programs, and policies that translate science into practice. Prior to commencing her post at CDC, Dr. Albright served as Chief of the California Diabetes Program for the California Department of Health Services, a position she held since 1995. During this time, Dr. Albright also held an academic appointment in the Institute for Health and Aging at University of California, San Francisco. From 2003-2004, Dr. Albright served as the Senior Health Policy Advisor in the Office of the United States Surgeon General and led the Secretary of Health’s Diabetes Detection Initiative. Dr. Albright is well known for her work in diabetes including implementation of evidence-based diabetes care guidelines, models of care in community clinics, application of diabetes prevention, and campaigns to increase understanding of diabetes and importance of blood glucose, blood pressure, and lipid control. Dr. Albright is published in areas of exercise, nutrition, body composition, diabetic nephropathy, enhanced care among Medicaid recipients with type 2 diabetes, and public health practice in diabetes prevention and control.

Christine Palumbo, MBA, RDN, FAND

Christine Palumbo, a recipient of the 2018 Medallion Award, is Principal of Christine Palumbo Nutrition, a nutrition communications practice. She is a highly regarded public speaker and polished food, nutrition and wellness communications expert who is experienced with broadcast and social media, including appearances on the Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN and Fox News Channel. Since her traineeship began in 1975, Christine has served in an elected or appointed Academy position for 40 of those 43 years. Between 2006 and 2009, Christine served as a Director-at-Large on the Academy’s Board of Directors. She also served on a number of national committees, including the Member Value Committee, of which she was Chair in 2014-2015. Other committee appointments include the Nominating Committee, Honors Committee and the Association Positions Committee twice, during two different decades.

Ellie Krieger, MS, RDN

Host and executive producer of the cooking series “Ellie’s Real Good Food” on Public Television, and well know from her hit Food Network show “Healthy Appetite,” Ellie Krieger is a New York Times bestselling, IACP and two-time James Beard Foundation award winning author of six books. She writes both a weekly and monthly column for The Washington Post and has also been a columnist for Fine Cooking, Food Network magazines and USA Today. Ellie is a registered dietitian nutritionist who earned her bachelors in clinical nutrition from Cornell and her masters in nutrition education from Teacher’s College Columbia University. Her latest book is You Have it Made: Delicious, Healthy Do-Ahead Meals (Jan 2016).
