Mary Gregoire, PhD, RD, FADA, FAND
Dr. Mary Gregoire is the Executive Director of the Accreditation Council of Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), the organization that accredits 580 dietetic programs in the US and internationally. In this role she is responsible for the planning, development, and effective implementation of all functions of ACEND, including standard setting and evaluation of dietetics education programs. She provides oversight of ACEND’s financial and human resources and plans and directs services to address dietetics education issues. Dr. Gregoire was formerly the Director of Food and Nutrition Services at Rush University Medical Center and Professor and Chair of Clinical Nutrition at Rush University. She is an active researcher and writer on foodservice management issues including sustainability and operational effectiveness. She has published more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and abstracts and authors the textbook Foodservice Organizations: A Managerial and Systems Approach.
