Dr. Michael Salerno is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine (Cardiology), Radiology and Biomedical Engineering. He is a multi-modality cardiovascular imager with experience in CMR, CCT, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Salerno has been involved in MRI research for the past 20 years with 10 years experience in CMR. His current research focuses on quantitative CMR with an interest in quantification of myocardial perfusion in coronary artery disease and microvascular disease, quantification of myocardial fibrosis usingT1 mapping, and evaluation of myocardial infarct remodeling using quantitative multi-parametric CMR techniques. He also has research interests in coronary CTA.
