Francesco Franchi, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Division of Cardiology of University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville, USA. He received his medical degree summa cum laude from the Medical School of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy), where he also completed the fellowship in cardiovascular diseases and a research fellowship in cardiology. He started his research experience at the University of Florida in 2012 as post-doctoral research fellow. He is Attending Cardiologist at the University of Florida Health System since 2016. His areas of interest and research are thrombosis, coronary artery diseases, and acute coronary syndromes. Dr. Franchi is currently involved in studying the pharmacodynamic profile and efficacy of the newer antiplatelet and antithrombotic drugs. He is an author of peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters in the field.
