Dr. Timothy Henry is the Director of Cardiology at the Smidt Heart Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a Professor of Medicine at Cedars-Sinai and UCLA since 2013. Prior to Cedars-Sinai, he was the Director of Research at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis and at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, as Director of Interventional Cardiology and Director of Cardiac Cath Lab. He has published over 350 manuscripts and book chapters and has served on the Emergency Care Committee for the ACC, the AHA Mission: Lifeline Advisory Committee, the AHA Acute Cardiac Care Committee and the ACC Interventional Subcommittee. His research interests include interventional cardiology, acute myocardial infarction, and novel therapies, including stem cell and gene therapy, for patients who are not candidates for standard revascularization techniques. He is widely sought after as guest lecturer and is a recipient of numerous awards and research grants, including the Innovator Award from the ACC and the LUMEN Global Lifetime Achievement Award in MI. He was named one of the Best Doctors in America (2007-17).
