Dr. Vetrovec has a BA (Phi Beta Kappa) and MD from the University of Virginia. Since 1976, as a faculty of Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Vetrovec’s administrative duties have included: Chairman, Cardiology 1991-2009, Director of Cath lab1977-2015 and Associate Chairman of Medicine for Clinical Affairs 1986-2009. Dr. Vetrovec Has authored more than 300 manuscripts with continuous research funding for over thirty years. In recognition of his University achievements, Dr. Vetrovec was awarded the VCU Distinguished Service Award in 2010, and the Presidential Medallion in 2014. In 2013, Dr. Vetrovec presented the Founders Lecture at the SCAI. In 2014 Dr. Vetrovec became an MACC and MSCAI.

Dr. Ryan Crisel is an interventional cardiologist with Piedmont Heart Institute. He did medical school at Emory, residency at UCSF, general cardiology at Northwestern, and completed interventional cardiology training at Emory in 2014. Dr. Crisel has a busy clinical practice in interventional cardiology and vascular medicine and has gained an interest in spontaneous coronary dissection and subsequent clinical management of these patients.

Dr. Sachin Kumar, MD, FACC is a practising Interventional Cardiologist with clinical and research interest in hemodynamic support and structural heart disease. He is board certified in Interventional Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant. He completed his Advanced fellowships from the Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University in 2015 and joined University of Texas Health Science center as an Assitant Professor. He is actively engaged in treating patients with Cardiogenic Shock with percutaneous LV/RV hemodynamic support devices, Structural heart disease, and high risk coronary interventions.

Dr. Steven Pfau is an Associate Professor in Medicine in the Cardiology Division at both Yale New Haven Hospital and West Haven VA Medical Center. He is the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Associate Section Chief, Cardiology Section, at the West Haven VA Medical Center. He is the Associate Program Director of the Yale Interventional Cardiology Fellowship as well. He is an interventional cardiologist with over 15 years of experience in the field.
