Dr. Adam J. Brown is an Interventional Cardiologist at MonashHeart and a Senior Lecturer in Cardiology at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He undertook his clinical cardiology training at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Trust and completed his PhD in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Cambridge funded by the British Heart Foundation. His post-doctoral work focuses on the role of biomechanical engineering in cardiovascular disease; assessing the role of mechanical forces in the development and progression of atherosclerosis. He other ongoing research interests include coronary pathophysiology in the context of aortic stenosis and arterial healing after stent implantation.
