Implant treatment strategies and protocols for edentulous patients have changed dramatically due to recent biotechnological breakthroughs. Innovations and development in products and protocols have created more efficient treatment procedures for both clinician and patient. Clinical management of patients with a completely edentulous arch will be presented by demonstrating the gathering process of patient data/information, diagnosis, treatment planning, surgical protocols and fabrication of both provisional and definitive implant-retained prostheses. The attendee's confidence and skills will increase with digital planning and computer-guided surgery for treatment of patients with a fully edentulous arch. Participants will be shown the use of Static Guided Surgery and the Dynamic Navigation Surgery in the different clinical scenarios from patients with terminal dentition to patients who are already edentulous.
Indications and limitations of both types of guided surgery will be reviewed and discussed and advanced procedures addressed, including mini-flap, flap in combination with grafting, sinus floor augmentation techniques and protocols for immediate implant placements. Modern and simplified digital-assisted planning and delivery will be presented to make immediate implant placement and the immediate provisionalization more predictable. Special emphasis will be given to achieving esthetics with the full-arch implant prosthesis through interdisciplinary treatment planning. Simplified surgical and prosthetic procedures will be addressed to make immediate loading protocols reliable in the daily practice for the fully edentulous patients. Practical “tips and tricks” and an insight into state-of-the-art, minimally invasive procedures will give participants the possibility to optimize their own treatment protocols in an evidence-based presentation.
There will be a refreshment break from 2:30 pm—3:00 pm.
