This session will address the most recent changes in Medicaid and how they will affect practice, addressing issues like Medicaid managed care and telepractice. The presenter will discuss how and where to access information specific to individual states.

Laurie Alban Havens, MA, CCC-SLP, joined the ASHA staff in October 2010. With education in health care administration and speech-language pathology, she has worked as a compliance officer, reimbursement consultant, skilled nursing facility administrator, and speech-language pathologist. She is the ex-officio to ASHA's Medicaid Committee and facilitator to ASHA's STAR (state advocates for reimbursement) network.
