Lauren Killelea, MFA
Public Policy Manager
Lauren Banks Killelea is the Public Policy Manager for Collaborative Solutions. She is responsible for the policy portfolios of the National AIDS Housing Coalition, Professional Association of Social Workers in HIV/AIDS, and the Low Income Housing Coalition of Alabama. She is the co-chair of the Structural Interventions Working Group of the Federal AIDS Policy Partnership and oversees advocacy efforts for HOPWA and other HUD programs.
She was the Chief Policy Officer of AIDS Alabama where she worked on federal, state, and local policy issues affecting people living with HIV. She has led advocacy groups for PLWHA and organized state lobby days, congressional briefings, and presented at the White House on the Affordable Care Act. She has her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Alabama and her MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
