Senior Consultant

Crystal Pope is a senior consultant for Collaborative Solutions (CS). In this role, Ms. Pope provides technical assistance and training through HUD’s HOPWA program as well as through the SNAPS Homeless program. She has more than 30 years of experience in planning, program design and organizational management, with a focus on policy and programs related to mental health, HIV/AIDS, homelessness and affordable housing. In addition, Ms. Pope manages the national HOPWA Ask-A-Question desk, delivers TA as a HOPWA subject matter expert, and delivers TA/Training on affordable housing program development, management and problem-solving.

Prior to joining Collaborative Solutions in 2005, Ms. Pope lived in New Orleans for nearly 25 years, where her work focused on planning and implementation of programs related to homelessness, poverty, mental health, domestic violence, sexual assault and HIV/AIDS. She was Executive Director of Travelers Aid New Orleans, an early homeless provider organization, Vice President of VOA of GNO, Director of the New Orleans Rape Crisis Center, and owner of CP & Associates, a private consulting firm. Ms. Pope earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration.
