Dr. Llewellyn J. Cornelius is the Donald Lee Hollowell Distinguished Professor of Civil Rights and Social Justice Studies and Director, Center for Social Justice, Human, and Civil Rights at the University of Georgia. Dr. Cornelius is a health disparities and community-based participatory researcher who has conducted national and international research and scholarship on substance abuse and HIV/AIDS. He has current research projects with HIV+ mothers and HIV+ adolescents in Nigeria. He also co-chairs a HIV/AIDS and Substance Abuse Interdisciplinary Workgroup that is a collaboration of university faculty, staff, students, and HIV/AIDS community stakeholders in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.
