Ashley Azor, MPH is the Project Coordinator for the HIV Care and Treatment Program at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In this role, she supports the planning and administration of the Ryan White Part A Program. Ashley previously served as a health educator for the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health’s Barbershop Based Health Interventions where she conducted informal workshops in salons and barbershops designed to address HIV prevention among individuals of African and Caribbean descent in Brooklyn. Ashley also served as a RISE counselor at the Brooklyn Free Clinic where she was a volunteer educator and test provider delivering HIV and HCV testing and counseling.
Ashley’s passion for the field of public health and HIV/AIDS is fueled by her interest in addressing health disparities among communities of color and promoting health equity.
