Elaine Ruscetta is the Program Manager for the Care Coordination Program at the Morningside and Samuels Clinics of Mount Sinai's Institute for Advanced Medicine. She oversees a team of 12 field-based Patient Navigators and 4 clinic-based Care Coordinators who provide health education, adherence support, and healthcare and benefits navigation for the highest needs patients in each clinic. Elaine received an MPH in Health Promotion and Program Design from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Sarah Lawrence College, were she she wrote her senior thesis on dance therapy and stress reduction among PLWHA. During her 10 years in the public health field, her areas of focus have included HIV/AIDS, cancer, stress and the immune system, and vaccination.
