Rob Pompa, LCSW currently serves as Behavioral Health Specialist in a hospital based HIV clinic. Rob joined Lehigh Valley Health Network’s AIDS Activities Office (AAO) in 2010 after working with children and adolescents with behavioral challenges and then as Hospice Social Worker. Rob has also served as medical case manager at the AAO and serves as Prevention Coordinator for the agency. Rob earned his master’s degree in Social Work from Kutztown University and is a member of the NASW and PASHWA. He currently serves on the Pennsylvania Special Pharmaceutical Benefits Program Advisory Council, the State of Pennsylvania HIV Divisions' HIV Planning Group and as co-chair for assessment committee, the AIDSNET Coalition Regional MSM Prevention Planning Group, as well as a member of the Consumer Advisory Board for CDC’s Division of HIV Prevention Behavioral and Clinical Surveillance Branch Medical Monitoring Project.
Rob has been a poster presenter as well as session presenter at the National HIV Social Work Conference: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. Additionally, he presented at the Pennsylvania Ryan White All Parts Summit 2014, at LVHN’s Cultural Competence Symposium 2015 and at the PAMAETC 2016 World AIDS Day Conference, as well as the PAMAETC regional MSM task force programming updates 2015, 2016, and 2017. Last year Rob had the privilege to present on HIV Stigma at the NMAC United States Conference on AIDS He regularly speaks at local colleges and community events advocating for PLWHA and educating about the importance of testing and counseling and raising awareness of the impact of HIV Stigma and the importance of Trauma Informed Care as a service delivery model for all who serve the HIV community.
