Session Description
The purpose of this session is to provide an understanding of, and strategies for: how to influence your institutional leadership.

CPD offices can contribute to their institution’s overall mission and vision by being a catalyst for positive change and/or helping institutional leadership develop the professionalism required of its physicians and other healthcare providers. All too often the potential contributions of the CPD are way underappreciated and under-recognized. CPD offices are under enormous pressure to provide and demonstrate “value” in their respective healthcare or medical specialty institutions.

This session will help you develop a strategic approach to gain the trust and support of your leadership. We will address how to develop and exercise power to position your office as an effective player. We will discuss issues such as: what they want/need to hear from you; how you position yourself to be heard; how you craft your value proposition; how you build your case for why you should be engaged in other decision or action arenas such as Quality meetings, Physician leadership development, faculty development, etc.
